Although it shouldn’t come as a surprise to folks in the pews of the Episcopal Church, there’s always a real person who’s standing underneath the bishop’s mitre. As the Diocese of Minnesota looks forward to welcoming a new bishop this coming weekend, I thought it might be interesting to share the following interview with the priest who will be taking on that role, the Rev. Brian Prior. He talks about growing up in the small town of Prosser, Washington, about meeting his wife at camp in the Diocese of Spokane, about his relationship with his two teenage sons, and about the congregation that he served most recently. I hope that you will consider joining me and thousands of others for his ordination and consecration as the IX Bishop of Minnesota on Saturday, February 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium. Whatever your religious background happens to be, you are invited to attend this celebration of God’s grace in our midst and to experience a community of love and forgiveness. Click here for details.
